Laura Wood is a visionary educational leader, dedicated to fostering academic growth and excellence. As the founder and owner of ELLC, she brings a collaborative, team-oriented approach to professional development, curriculum design, and instructional coaching. With a deep passion for literacy and student achievement, Laura has spent over a decade empowering educators through innovative coaching strategies, data-driven decision-making, and intervention program expertise.

Her career spans more than 12 years as both a general education and special education teacher in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, followed by over 10 years as an instructional consultant. Prior to founding ELLC, Laura worked with the Children’s Literacy Initiative in Newark, NJ, and the Northern Valley Curriculum Center in Demarest, NJ, where she supported districts in analyzing data, identifying instructional gaps, and implementing targeted strategies for success.

Laura is a dynamic problem solver and active listener, known for her ability to adapt to diverse educational settings. She collaborates closely with school districts, helping them navigate challenges and achieve measurable improvements in student outcomes. In addition to her literacy expertise, she partners with experienced math and science consultants, offering comprehensive curricular support to schools seeking to elevate instruction across disciplines.

With an unwavering commitment to educational excellence, Laura continues to drive meaningful change in schools, equipping educators with the tools and strategies they need to create lasting impact.
